Sr. Engineer-Integrity Specialist required for Oman

Following vacant position for Oman, in an EPC company involved in onshore
production of Oil/Gas.

Vacant Position : *Sr. Engineer-Integrity Specialist*

Work Location : *Sultanate of Oman*

Job Duration : Long Term (Direct Hire)

Mobilization : Immediately, Telephonic Interview Schedule on *17th
October, 2011*

*Qualification*
Degree in discipline specific engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.). Senior /
Engineers shall have membership of an internationally accepted applicable
professional institute*.*

*Experiences :*
A minimum of 12 years oil & gas engineering experience (of which 5 years
upstream). Experience in conceptual, front end and detailed design required
(minimum 10 years experience in an engineering design company). Fully
conversant with relevant international standards. Experience with Company
and/or Shell Group projects and standards (SPs and DEPs) is strongly
preferred. Field experience in construction & commissioning strongly
preferred.

*Specific Experiences :*
Specialist experience shall encompass pipeline, piping, static equipment
inspection, life assessment exercises, pigging operations, application of
intelligent pigging and other inspection techniques to pipelines,
environmental impact assessment, QRA

*Principal Accountability :*

- Provide detailed engineering input during all design phases, including
interpretation and challenge of standards.
- Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of
interface, during the design development, review and check processes.
- Support design/drawing office personnel with specialist engineering
input.
- Prepare requisitions and technical evaluation of bids for discipline
material and equipment sourcing. Ensure equipment Vendors provide timely and
quality input into design packages. Review all third party discipline design
work.
- Ensure design packages meet the relevant safety, environmental and
ergonomic standards.
- Understand the contract quality management system and ensure these
requirements are met.
- Participate in and sometimes lead, discipline design reviews.
- Senior Engineers: act as lead discipline engineer for specific
projects, managing discipline design teams of designers and engineers. Stand
in for discipline head as appropriate.
- Senior Engineers: actively train and encourage the development of Omani
staff to fulfill process and systems engineering roles.
