Salary scale: £22,325 to £25,854 per annum - 3 years temporary appointment

We are currently looking to recruit a technician on the ASTUTE project, with skills and experience, which should be in the field of composites engineering. Experience of high power (30 W- 5 kW) microwave and RF engineering to support rapid manufacturing would be advantageous.
The ASTUTE (Advanced SusTainable manUfacturing TEchnologies) project is designed to stimulate growth in the Convergence region of Wales by applying advanced engineering technologies to manufacturing challenges. This multi-million pound project will target the aerospace and automotive sectors, as well as other high technology manufacturing companies to create sustainable, higher value goods and services and bring them to a global market. The project is led by Swansea University, in collaboration with the Universities of Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff, Swansea Metropolitan, UWIC, and the University of Wales, Newport, Its focus is to assist enterprises and help create highly skilled new jobs through 40 collaborative R&D projects. The project has been partly funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Regional Development Fund and will be managed by Swansea University.
