invites applications to fillup one post of Sr. Fisheries Scientist (Group ‘A’ Gazetted) in the Pay Band PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale of  Rs.10000-325-15200/ -   in Fishery Survey of India, Mumbai by transfer on deputation (including shortterm contract) basis for a period of 3 years, from the Officers under the Cent ral /State Governments/Union Territories Administration/ Agricultural Universi t ies/Semi  Government / Autonomous Bodies or  Statutory
Organizations:

a) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department OR;
ii) With 5 year service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Scale of pay
of Rs. 8000-275-13500/- (Revised P a y   B a n d   i s   P B - 3   o f   R s . 1 5 6 0 0 -39100/- + Grade Pay of Rs.6600/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department.

b )   P o s s e s s i n g   e d u c a t i o n a l  q u a l i f i c a t i o n s   a n d   e x p e r i e n c e   a s
given below :
i )  Master 's Degree  in Zoology Or Marine Biology/Fisheries Science/F i s h e r i e s   M a n a g e m e n t  
o r Oceanography  f rom a  recognized University or equivalent; OR Post Graduate Diploma in Fisheries
Science of the Central Institute of F i s h e r i e s   E d u c a t i o n ,   M u m b a i   o r equivalent; and
ii) Possessing 5 years experience in s u r v e y o r   r e s e a r c h   o f   M a r i n e Fisheries including cruise planning and participation in voyages.
Note: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be
e l i g i b l e   f o r   c o n s i d e r a t i o n   f o r appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for c o n s i d e r a t i o n   f o r   a p p o i n tme n t   b y promotion. The period of deputation
( i n c l u d i n g   s h o r t - t e r m   c o n t r a c t ) including the period of deputation
( i n c l u d i n g   s h o r t - t e rm  c o n t r a c t )   i n a n o t h e r   e x - c a d r e   p o s t   h e l d
i m m e d i a t e l y   p r e c e d i n g   t h i s appointment in the same or some other Organization/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years. The maximum age limit for appointment by transfer on deputation (including short-term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 y e a r s   a s   o n   t h e   c l o s i n g   d a t e   o f r e c e i p t   o f   A p p l i c a t i o n s .   T h e Headquarters of the post is presently
at Mumbai but the officer is liable to be transferred to anywhere in India.
