BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for Middle East

Job Description

The Role:
-         Responsible for the SALES of company products and services in African Region
-         Evaluate market potential; establish and implement strategy for key countries
-         Identify new business opportunities
-         Establish and maintain relevant contacts with customers, sales and service partners
-         Evaluate market potential and develop market entry strategy for new products
-         Communicate customer requirements, market intelligence and competitor information to relevant product marketing group at the Head Quarter office and participate in group meetings
-         Be responsible for the analysis and planning of all product marketing issues within the subsidiary respectively the allocated sales region, which is Africa and the Middle East
-         Achieve assigned individual sales targets, if applicable, as well as company objectives for the allocated sales area
-         Travel to and remain in key markets for sufficient amount of time to gather market data and build case for strategy to be implemented
-         Liaise and negotiate with high ranking public an private sector staff, as well as distributors
-         Help distributors to increase sales and boost performance
-         Meet quantitative and qualitative targets
-         Monitor and report competitor activities

Requirements:
·        At least 4 or 5 years of DIRECT SALES EXPERIENCE and/or CHANNEL MANAGEMENT for TECHNICAL PRODUCTS in the MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA REGION
·       At least 2 or 3 years of experience in a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ROLE
·       ADVANCED or MASTERS IN TECHNICAL and/or BUSINESS RELATED DEGREE with good commercial knowledge or Commercial Degree with good Technical Know-How and experience
·       Must have experience in handling SALES, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING of MECHANICAL, INDUSTRIAL, COMPLEX and OTHER SPECIAL PURPOSE MACHINERY and EQUIPMENTS
·       MARKET RESEARCH EXPERIENCE DESIRABLE
·       To be au fait with high level decision makers
·       Excellent Sales and Follow-up Skills
·       Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
·       Self starter with ability to work independently, yet reliably and with focus on results
·       Fluency in written and spoken English
·       Must be proficient in other foreign language such as French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, or Arabic
Candidate must be willing to travel extensively in all over the African Region
