Job Description
Microsoft India D&PE is responsible for driving broad platform adoption and cultivating a vibrant ecosystem of customers, partners and developers loyal to, excited about, and satisfied with, MS. D&PE focuses primarily on early adoption of Microsoft’s emerging platform technologies, building momentum until adoption reaches critical mass.
Broad technical audiences are key to the software industry’s transformation of services and devices. Applications are becoming the main factor determining the success or failure of a new platform and those Applications are no longer primarily created by traditional developer audiences. This exciting role seeks to reach and engage with this extended ecosystem of developers, IT Professionals by engaging with influencers and communities.

REACH: Identify friendly and neutral technical audiences and deliver valuable offers including tools, programs and content. Make them aware of our value proposition by using our owned, paid and earned online & social media channels.

ENGAGEMENT: Drive engagement through guided experiences. Engage and build relationships with key audience influencers in order to amplify our messages. Drive meaningful engagements with a view to making Microsoft competitive.

ADOPTION: Build momentum and deep adoption through online channels and communities, establishing a deep emotional connect with developer, IT Pro and broad technical communities.

Marketing Planning, Budgeting, and Execution • Build an innovative set of online & social media marketing programs to connect with developers, IT Pros and technical audiences
• Manage execution of campaigns, promotions and programs to drive business priorities
• Allocation and management of local marketing budget
• Drive the development of phone and cloud applications through communities 30%

Exceed Developer, IT Pro Satisfaction and Favorability • Exceed audience satisfaction as measured though regular surveys
• Monitor conditions of satisfaction attainment and drive levers
• Meet regularly with community influencers to support relationships and collect feedback
• Drive user escalation to get resolution on issues
• Engages with developers, IT Pros through user groups, online communities, events with audience, encompassing all responsibilities and activities 35%

Candidate Profile Experience 18+ Years of Industry and relevant experience

Education MBA Desirable
Field of Study (if applicable): Business, Computer Science, Marketing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualified candidates should have demonstrable marketing and business development management (or similar) experience with a proven track record for producing results.
• The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of Microsoft Core technologies and a deep understanding of the personas of roles involved in the process.
• The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, verbal and writing skills. He/she will need to impact and influence others, have a high level of customer advocacy and a demonstrated ability to think strategically.
• The candidate must have proven success, consistently achieved and frequently exceeded goals.
• The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and demonstrated leadership skills in a technical sales, marketing, services or evangelism field organization targeting partners or enterprise customers.
• The best candidates will have deep knowledge of how to engage with, and impact, broad communities (e.g., broad developer and IT Pro communities) through online and social media
• Passion for driving results and seeing projects through to completion
• Positive attitude and high confidence managing through times of change & economic diversity
