Required Skills : Minimum 2-3 years in Engineering positions within a Cable Company, Telco or ISP preferred. Expert in Optical-based access & core/backbone network technologies & standards such as DWDM, SONET, STS, OC, ROADM & so on. Expert in switching and routing architectures. Expert in IP & Optical access network design, network architecture, network configuration, network protocols and network topology. Expert in Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance & Security (FCAPS) aspects of network management and element management systems for IP & Optical access & core/backbone network equipment. Expert of protocols such as RIPv2, OSPF, OSPF-TE, IS-IS, IS-IS -TE, BGP, MPLS. Good knowledge in using tools such as network sniffers. Good knowledge of security features like PKI, VPN and Firewalls.
